Estro's Neoplitan award-winning chef Antimo Maria Merone, has positioned himself at the forefront of Italian cuisine by defying convention and sidestepping tradition with refined cooking techniques and sophisticated presentation.
At Estro, Antimo has built his legacy on carefully crafted audacious seasonal menus, that celebrates his Neapolitan roots and honours his culinary heritage.
Whilst leading a culinary revolution of Italian cuisine, Merone is demonstrating his forward thinking spirit as he becomes one of the first chefs to enter the NFT space with a menu specifically designed for Gourmeta.
Dedicated to elevating Neapolitan cuisine, Estro draws inspiration from Antimo’s homeland, with each dish evoking rich memories of his ancestors, history and childhood. Bringing a global perspective to regional cuisine, Estro acknowledges Antimo’s Neapolitan roots while showcasing his innate creativity, presenting wholly original and deeply personal dishes with impeccable style.
Upon arrival, guests move through a concrete hallway to discover a richly decorated reception foyer. Lined in Verde Chantillon marble and emerald wallcovering, guests enter the main dining area via an intricate arched metal gate. Embracing the spirit of a traditional salotto, the main dining salon is sculpted with a strong sense of visual symmetry, articulated with undulating wall profiles. The mood is opulent yet warm, created with a rich palette of terracotta, sage green and turquois blue.
Design elements are inspired by traditional Italian craftsmanship and silhouettes, from the burr walnut panelling and intricate marquetry to the hand-painted stucco walls and Calacatta marble. The custom-made furnishings boast sinuous, elongated curves, enhancing the space’s beguiling charm. A range of bespoke decorative lighting in cast bronze and ceramic adds further whimsical embellishment to the evocative venue.
